Volunteering

Don Bosco has launched a Community Volunteer Programme which will provide graduates with a nine month work placement, working alongside qualified and experienced staff.  Volunteers will also receive excellent supervision, support and training during this period.

It is particularly suited to graduates of Social Science and Social Care courses who are interested in gaining experience prior to returning to complete their Masters Programme.

This Programme is operating under the New National Internship Scheme. If the volunteer is on the live register for a minimum of 3 months they can volunteer for Don Bosco and continue to receive Social Welfare payments. They will also receive an additional €50 on top of their social welfare benefit.

Cut off for applications will be the end of May each year The Programme will commence in September / October 2011 and will run for nine months each year.
